One of my top priorities when I decided to make a website for my business, was the terms and conditions. I know that most people are like me and accept them immediately without reading them. I think is because for some reason we trust the people behind the websites. We trust that they don’t want to screw us over, and if they do we can find a way to deal with it. I believe that, because when I made my terms I made them thinking in protecting my customers.
Anyway, one very important part of these terms is stuff you can’t rent at http://www.RentBillow.com. It’s OK if you don’t read the short and concise 19 pages of T&C I dearly prepared for you, as long as you read this part…
Some of the stuff you shouldn’t put up for rent:
People. – Can’t rent people. 4 people I know immediately asked if they could rent a boyfriend. Bless their heart, but no. Not on this website. (The revision was here, another woman asked for a boyfriend rental)
Pets. – Same reasons mentioned above. Don’t be weird.
Underwear. – One word. Eww.
False documents. – I hope I am not giving you ideas. But this is a nay-nay.
Any kind of firearms/ammo/etc. – Don’t even Steven.
Drugs and medical accessories. – Seriously? No way Jose.
Surveillance devices. – No spying, hijacking, etc. Just keep checking his/her Facebook 55 times a day as usual.
Stolen stuff. – So not only do you steal it, but you want to make more profit by renting it? Shame on you!
Dangerous & Illegal possessions. – Do I really need to explain why this is forbidden?
Pirated goods. – One word. R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
Explosives or anything related (even fireworks). – NO!
Pornography. – We shall all keep it in our pants. Shall we? Yes, we shall.
Anything that your common sense tells you might not be a good idea, don’t put it up for rent. If you are in doubt, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
